Zenobia Shoemaker
May 13, 1912 — February 18, 2013
Shoemaker, Zenobia, 100, of Elmcroft Nursing Center, formerly of Homesite Drive in Dayton, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013.
She was a former member of Mack Memorial Church of the Brethren, and was a past president of the American Legion. Zenobia previously worked for the Rike's Kumler Co. and for Standard Register.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Abraham Shoemaker in 1976, son, James Anthony Shoemaker in 2006, 2 brothers, Hershal Siders of Columbus and Enos Siders of Piqua.
Zenobia is survived by her son, Robert F. and wife, Carol Shoemaker; her sister, Geneva Styer, formerly of Richwood,OH; her grandchildren, Beth Whiting-Shoemaker, Dennis Sanchez, Diana Morrett, Kelly Garanzuay; great grandchildren, Baylen Shoemaker, Jeff Morrett, Nickolas Morrett ,Xamina Garanzuay, Xander Garanzuay, Kuulei Leilani Balbueno; her great, great grandchildren, Bella Morrett and Nicco Balbueno.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from1:00pm until 2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. where a funeral service will be held at 2:00pm. Zenobia will be laid to rest in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio immediately following her service.
