Zachary John Atkins

Zachary John Atkins, age 37 of Old Town, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at Soin Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1986 in Dayton, Ohio the son of John and Diana Atkins.
Zach was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing, mushroom hunting and riding his motorcycle. He was willing to help anyone; even in his death he was an tissue donor just so he could continue to help others. He was a hard working man who above all else valued honesty.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry Frederick Atkins and Peggy Ann Atkins; maternal grandparents, George D. Buckner and Dollie E. Buckner; aunts, Debbie Atkins and Karen Sue Hawkins; uncle, Phillip Dean Atkins; cousin, Sara McGlothen and many close friends.
Zach is survived by his wife and best friend, Ashley; children, Nicolas Atkins, Cameron Atkins and John E. Atkins; grandson, Noah Atkins; parents, John E. Atkins and Diana J. Atkins; aunts, Arlene Dunmire and Cindy Whetstone; uncles, James Buckner, Terry Atkins and Jerry Atkins; many cousins and friends who he thought of as family.
Visitation will be January 10, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Zach will be laid to rest at Clifton-Union Cemetery following the service.
