Yvonne M Underwood

Yvonne Underwood, 76 departed this life on July 6, 2018. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She is best known for her calm demeanor, gentle heart, her loving spirit, and her world-class culinary skills.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Underwood Sr. of Dayton, whom she was married to for 33 years before his passing. After her husband passed, she eased her mourning by helping to raise and care for her granddaughter Jaquanna Calloway (Christian), who lived with her for the next 13 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mae Hardnett, of Woodbury GA sister Mary Ann McGill (Hubert), mother-in law-Augusta Underwood of Dayton, step-daughter, Janice Kimball, and several other relatives.

She leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Burnett Johnson (Jerome) of Dayton, brothers Willie Hardnett (Pam) of Woodbury, Bobby Hardnett (Billie) of Woodbury, Larry Hardnett (Alberta) of Atlanta, Emmit Harnett of Greenville Ga, step-mother Annie Bae Hardnett, of Greenville Ga, sons-Darryl Underwood (Kim) and Michael Underwood, both of Dayton, daughter Trecia Underwood of Dayton, daughter-in-law Kimberly Underwood (Darryl), stepson Earnest Underwood II of Dayton, step-daughters Mary Bernice McDonald (Michael) of Trotwood, Renee Kimbell of Columbus, and Stephanie Underwood (Kenneth) of Dayton, brother-in-law, Hubert Hardnett, sister-in-law, Mary Whitehead (Virgil) of Woodbury, GA; special friends Menta Kimball of Jefferson Twp and Bert Shroeder of Dayton,10 other grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sat, July 14, at 1:00 pm at Newcomer, 4104 Needmore Rd. 45424. Visitation will be from noon-1:00 pm.
