Yoshiko Noguchi Seitz, age 89, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on January 13, 2015. She was born September 18, 1925 in Tokyo, Japan. "YO" as she was affectionately called by her friends and late Husband, Ralph Seitz Jr. served as an Air Force Wife and Mother for 22 years, a role which she cherished and lived for.
Yoshiko met the love of her life at Tachikawa Air Force Base, Japan and spent the next fifty years together raising their three sons: Ralph III, Steven and Craig Seitz. Yoshiko is survived by her sons, Ralph III, Steven (Danelle) and Craig (Shan) Seitz; grandchildren, Heather (Aaron) Miller, Matthew, Joshua, Caitlin, Hanna (Lamar) Shelly, Benjamin, Trent, Christian, Kaylee (Joe) Wagoner, Samuel and Liam; great grandchildren: Gabriel, Noah, Xavier, Addley, Royal and Onyx. Yoshiko was a resident of Lane Park Assisted Living Center and is survived by friends and special companion Walter Porter. Yoshiko was a native of Japan and is survived by her brother, Yasu Yoshi and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Yoshiko was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jr.; mother Hana Noguchi; brothers, Yuzo Noguchi and Tadashi Noguchi.
Yoshiko was a survivor of the fire bombings of Tokyo during World War II. Yoshiko passed on many stories of her experiences and life lessons learned along the way of a good and happy life. Yoshiko enjoyed many hobbies, but her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family. Where ever the Air Force stationed our family, she was always the "Neighborhood Mom". Yoshiko taught her sons the importance of personal values, being honest and hardworking and never, ever giving up. These are lessons that have become a Seitz family legacy and will always be taught and never forgotten. Yoshiko has been reunited with her husband and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Yoshiko's family would like to express their Thanks to the staff at Miami Valley Hospital and the staff at Lane Park Assisted Living Center for their great caretaking and compassion.
Friends will gather from 12-1 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, where a Memorial Service will begin at 1 PM Sunday.
