Wren Vanderpool, Jr.
May 27, 1940 — August 3, 2017
Wren Vanderpool, Jr. "Pops", age 77 of Dayton, reunited with his wife, Devotis Vanderpool on August 3, 2017. He was born May 27, 1940 in Gatlith, KY to the late Wren and Gladys (Jones) Vanderpool. In addition to his wife and parents, Wren was preceded in death by his daughter, Bevla Ann Vanderpool.
He is survived by his children, Wren, Larry (April), Sandra, Tommy (Geana), Philip, JoJuana (Kenny) and Michael; 16 grandchildren;12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Doty and Rosella Sparkman; brother, J.B. Vanderpool; half-brother, Larry Starrett and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Wren will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will begin at 10 AM on Monday, August 7 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
