Wilse E. Nickerson Jr., age 84, of Franklin, OH and formerly of Chicago, IL transitioned to rest in the arms of the Lord, Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
He was born April 21, 1928 in Marion, AL to the late Wilse E. Nickerson Sr. & Lucy Jane Nickerson, also of Marion, AL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jeanne M. Nickerson; children, Erick M. Nickerson, Elizabeth R. Nickerson-Derrough, Leslie R. Nickerson-Bowers and Pietra G. Nickerson-Foster; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Nickerson-Banks and first cousin (brother) Preston Saunders.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will begin at 11:00 am, with Rev. Greg Wissman officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
