Wilma Jean Patterson, age 84 of West Carrollton Ohio passed away Friday May 26, 2023, at Walnut Creek Nursing Center.
Wilma was born January 4, 1939, to Bradley and Sudie Cooper Reese in Knox County KY. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bobby) Patterson, her parents Bradley and Sudie Cooper Reese, sisters Irene, Lorene, Bee, Gloria Jean, Sadie, and brother Marlin. She is survived by her son Richard (Kim) Patterson and her sister Patty Owens.
Wilma was an avid stock car racing fan. There was a time when Her and Bobby would attend 5 races a week. The pair went to over 25 Daytona 500's. They were there for Dale Earnhardt's first win at Bristol and his last race at Daytona.
She loved music. Elvis and Michael Combs were her favorites. She had a beautiful singing voice. She was asked to sing in the choir at Harmony Baptist Church and did so for several years.
She loved dogs, especially her beloved Shih Tzu, Buddy.
Wilma retired from Peter Lee Publishing Company after 25 years of service.
Services for Wilma will be held Saturday June 3, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home,
3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH. Visitation will be 10-11am with the service at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
