Wilma Moses, age 74, of Tipp City, passed away on January 28, 2022. She was born in Barthell, Kentucky on October 13, 1947 to the late Jesse and Nellie Pierce.
She was a spectacular cook, cake decorator and baker. She was an excellent seamstress, and made blankets and stuffed animals for friends and family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She especially loved cooking with her grandchildren. One of her favorite activities with them was decorating the house for Christmas and making gingerbread houses. She was also a lifelong, dedicated member of New Life Church.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse O. and Nellie Pierce; brother-in-law, who also raised her, Herbert King; her brothers, Glen Edward Pierce, Warren "Bud" Pierce, Johnnie Pierce, Willard Pierce and Robert Pierce; and father-in-law: James F. Moses.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 55 years, James A. Moses; children: Amy (Mark) Linder, and James (Denise) Moses Jr.; grandchildren: Nate Linder, Kimberly Miller, Kelly Linder, Danielle Linder, Katelyn Miller, Bailey Linder, and Nicholas Moses; mother-in-law, Pansy Moses; sisters: Margaret King, who also raised her, and Ona Ison; brothers: Alan King and Jeffery King; sister of the heart, June Belanger; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at New Life Church, 3350 Benchwood Drive, Dayton, with a funeral service beginning at 6:00pm.
