Ross, Wilma F., age 77, of Xenia, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013.
Wilma is survived by son Michael E. and wife, Emma Ross of Xenia; daughter Shanna L. and husband, James Ash of Beavercreek; two sisters, Phyllis and husband, Ardell Hennenburg of Columbus, OH, Janet and husband, Joe Cronin of Portsmouth, OH; four grandchildren, Dr. John W. and wife, Erin Ross of Danville, PA, Hanna L. and husband, Mike Minges of Springboro, OH, Michael R. Ross, Matthew W. Ross both of Beavercreek; and four great-grandchildren, Brenna, Ava, Lila, and Tessa Ross of Danville, PA.
She was preceded in death by husband William E. Ross in 1999, parents, Ellis Ray and Elsie Nadine (Kinney) Whitt, and brother, Darrell L. Whitt.
Wilma previously worked at the Williams Shoe Co. in Portsmouth, OH, and Chrysler Air Temp and Dayton Flexible in Dayton, OH. She was also a teacher's assistant at Tecumseh Elementary School in Xenia, and an accountant at the Berea, KY Days Inn. She was a member of Beavercreek Christian Church for several years.
Wilma had a tender spot for children and dogs and had a passion for golf. She was a very giving and sweet natured person.
For the past six years she was a resident of Legacy Assisted Living in Xenia, where she received wonderful care and companionship.
