Wilma J. Bowers, 87, of Enon, OH died at 8:37 pm Friday, February 3, 2012 at home surrounded by her family.
Born June 2, 1924 in Alma, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Glennwood and Lena Richards.
She loved to cook, garden, and restore antiques, and she cherished the many hours of enjoyment she spent with her 10 grandchildren.
Married Rennes F. Bowers, Jr. of Martinsburg, West Virginia on May 21, 1946. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends.
Wilma and Rennes operated the Bowers Jewelry and Gift Shop in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 1950-1960.
Rennes and Wilma placed their faith in Jesus Christ their Savior in 1978 and were baptized at the Kemp Road Baptist Church.
Wilma is survived by 3 children, Sharron, Rennes III and Rebecca, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Genevieve, and 1 brother, Don.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday February 11, 2012, Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley Chapter, Dayton Hospice.
