Willis E. Falkenstein, Jr.

Willie "Butch" Falkenstein, age 76, of Riverside, passed away June 13, 2023. He was born November 2, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Willis and Lois Falkenstein. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his son, Chris Falkenstein; brother, John Michael Falkenstein; uncles and aunts: Paul and Charlotte Falkenstine & Darwin and Alfreda Falkenstine of West Virginia.

Willie is survived by his wife, Debbie Falkenstein; daughter, Yvonne "Vonnie" McDonald (Jesse); son, Michael Falkenstein; grandchildren: Brittany, Kyle, Gabrielle, Zachary and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Myles, Willow and Kirill; numerous other family members and friends.

Willie graduated from Belmont High School, Class of 1965. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Amvets Huber Heights Post # 464, where he was a past commander. Willie was an avid golfer and bowler. His knowledge of music and sports was unmatched. Willie loved traveling and going on cruises. He loved life and had a great sense of humor.

A graveside service with military honors will take place at Dayton National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11:00 am. Directly following the service, a celebration of life will be held from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Amvets Post #464, 5420 Brandt Pike, Huber Heights 45424. Contributions may be made in Willie's memory to the Amvets Huber Heights Post # 464. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road.
