CHASTEEN, Willis A. age 83 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on January 17, 1923 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, to the late Willis and Ida Mae Chasteen. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Jean Chasteen. He is survived by his daughters Marleen (Joel) Harris of Georgetown, KY, Linda Chasteen and Karen (Doug) Robinson, and his son Shannon Chasteen all of Dayton; grandsons Matthew and John Harris; and other relatives and friends. Willis was a World War II Navy veteran and a Golden Glove boxer during his time of service. He was retired from DESC after 33 years of service and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering for over 40 years serving as a deacon, trustee and usher. He will be missed by his family as their rock of faith, giver of Godly wisdom and dedicated husband and father. He was a blessing to everyone who knew him. We love you Daddy. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 31, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Kettering, 1600 Brownleigh Road, with Dr. Barry Jude officiating.
