Willie Melvin Walker

Willie Melvin Walker, age 86 of Medway, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born November 8, 1931 in Peoria, Texas, the son of the late John Henry and Willie Mae Walker.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Bill Walker; and 2 siblings.
Willie is survived by his wife of 62 years, May; daughters, Debi DePriest (Don Clark), Elizabeth Sherman (Jim Anderson); 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 siblings; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Willie retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service and then worked Civil Service at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for another 23 years. During retirement, he enjoyed camping with May at Indian Lake.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 3 pm with military honors.
