Willie L. Long "Bill", age 84 of Troy, passed away September 30, 2019. He was born on February 11, 1935 in Cookeville, TN to his late parents, Dallas and Essie (Howard) Long. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Long.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cleo Long; children, Roger (Linda) Long and Rick (Pat) Long; step-children, Eugene (Leslie) Gadd, Edmond (Donna) Gadd, Debbie Gebhart and Jerry Copeland; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Fred (Sondra) Long and numerous extended family and dear friends.
Bill enjoyed woodworking and fishing in his spare time.
Family will receive friends from 6-9 PM on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Newcomer Centerville Chapel 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Centerville, OH 45459. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 5 at the funeral home with Pastor David Renfrow officiating. Interment will follow the service at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens, Centerville.
