Age 79, of Dayton, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010, at his home after an extended illness.
Willie is survived by his wife of the past 51 years, Laurice (Smith) Jordan; seven children, Rosetta Byrd, Betty Byrd, Bruce Jordan, Deborah Jordan, Melvin Jordan, Karen Jordan & Gregory Jordan; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; one brother, Samuel B. Jordan; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Willie was a member of Unity Lodge # 115; a member of Amber Temple Shrine; the Teamsters Union Local # 957; and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 18, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
