Mr. Willie B Cantrell, 74, of Fairborn, passed away on the 1st of March, 2021. Bill is the son of the late James and Arizona Cantrell of Dayton.
Bill was preceded in death by brothers Paul and Danny Cantrell, and by son Daniel Cantrell. In addition to his wife, Jean, Bill is survived by son Scott Cantrell of Duncan SC, stepdaughter Jennifer Blankenship of Fairborn, stepson Daniel Ball of Miamisburg, and stepdaughter Theresa Conway of Fort Myers Beach, FL. Other surviving family members include brothers Doc and Darley Cantrell of Fairborn, sisters Dorothy Howard of Fairborn, Jeanne Summerford of Port Ritchey FL, and Joyce Campagna of Springfield, and several grandchildren.
Bill was employed and retired as a caulker with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR racing on television, visiting and sharing stories with family and friends, talking politics with his son, and seeing and hearing about his grandchildren growing up and becoming adults.
A visitation will be held on Thursday March 11, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will be held on Friday March 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home and a graveside service will follow at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn.
