ZIELAZNY, William A., 75, died of Cancer on Monday August 2, 2010. He was born in Glen Cove, NY. He joined the USAF and served in Korea. After the war, he came to Dayton to attend the University of Dayton, earning both undergrad and grad degrees. He was retired from the former Digital Equipment Corp. and spent much of his leisure time listening to jazz music, reading and following the U. of D Flyers Basketball and football teams.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda; 2 sons Craig (Beth), of Beavercreek and Glenn (Jacqueline), of Waynesville; 3 grandchildren Ethan, of Beavercreek, and Nicholas and Devon, of Waynesville; brother Kenneth (Victoria), of Pennsylvania; sister Monica, of New York; and 2 nieces Beth and Dana.
Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Monday, August 9, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek. The Rev Fr. Eugene Contadino, S.M. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00Am until time of services. Burial to follow at 1:00PM at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. Third St, Dayton, Ohio.
