William C. "Bill" Wittgruber, age 94 of Kettering, passed away August 25, 2011. He was born March 8, 1917 in Dayton to the late Charles and Elizabeth Wittgruber. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Wittgruber and brother, Lewis Wittgruber.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Caroline Barker Rogers; grandson, Steven Barker; sister and brother-in-law: Virginia and James Morgan; 2 nephews: James "Jimmy" Morgan, Jr. and Charles "Chuck" Morgan; many other family members and friends.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, WWII. He was a member of the Century Quarter Wireless Association and many various Square Dancing and Round Dancing Organizations. He was a former member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and formerly attended the Adult Day Care at St. Leonards. He was an avid gardener and loved his poodles: Tammy, Toto and Princess.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
