William Wessel

William Stiveson "Bill" Wessel, age 85 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on May 19, 1935 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late William and Georgeann Wessel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Dixie Wessel.

He is survived by his two daughters, Rhonda (Danny) Maalouf and Sherrie Wessel; son, Tim (Robin) Wessel; three grandchildren, Charles Cowsert, Tyler Wessel, and Lindsey Wessel; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Braydon, and Colton. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Bill was devoted to his faith and was an ordained Deacon at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Miamisburg, Ohio. He was a proud Navy Veteran who served his country for four years. Bill was a hobbyist who especially loved to refurbish clocks. He enjoyed camping, working on puzzles, and early in his life he loved to travel. One of his most memorable trips was to Rome. Bill is well loved and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
