William L. Walker, "Bill," age 82 of Washington Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 7, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Adam and Alice Walker.
Bill was a self-employed CPA for 36 years. He is also a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War.
Bill never met a stranger. His demeanor was "calm, cool, and collected." He loved to tell jokes - especially the same ones over and over...with new friends. He shared with his granddaughter that his goal when he walked into the room was to make everyone laugh. He enjoyed the finer things in life - fine wine, good food, fine arts, the opera, and he was an accomplished artist himself with drawing and painting. Bill was an athlete and played basketball and football. He also enjoyed snow skiing and white water rafting, but most of all, golf was his passion. At the end of the day, Bill loved to sit on the back patio with a glass of Jameson and a good cigar. Bill truly lived life to the fullest. With him, the glass wasn't just half full - it was overflowing.
Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Georgia; children, Mary L. (R. Kevin) Hoffman, Karen M. (Jerry) Minnich, Kristin E. Elliott, Mark A. (Vicky) Vukovic; grandchildren, Dylan F. (Michaela) Vukovic, Joya M. (Seth) Januleski, Weston N. Minnich, Kristin E. Hoffman, Lilian B. Arthur, Lauren E. Arthur, Richard W. Hoffman; brothers, Jim (Geri) Walker, John Walker; sisters, Colette Dix, Patricia (Clifford) Davis; sister-in-law, Betty (Gary) Hobbs; adopted daughter and caregiver, Ruth Arlott; as well as numerous loving family members and many friends.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Walker, Larry Walker, and Julie Harlow; and brother-in-law, Tom Dix.
