William V. Cottle

COTTLE, William Verrill of Beavercreek made his journey to heaven on Saturday, December 4 at the age of 78.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Joseph and Elizabeth Cottle, along with 9 brothers and sisters. Born in Cottle, KY, Bill and his wife Yvonne moved to Ohio in 1950 where he spent a 35-year career as a design engineer with GM/Delco Moraine. After retiring, Bill and Yvonne spent several years wintering in Florida before recently returning to Ohio. A member of Grace Baptist Church and long-time choir member, "Mr. Bill" was deeply loved by all his little buddies there.

Bill is survived by his wife Yvonne of 60 years; daughters Teri and Kym; grandchildren Renee, Bethany, and Ben; great-grandchildren Jacob and Michael Jr.; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to Heartland Hospice for all their support and care, with an extra special thank you to his favorite nurse Sandy.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek. Services will be held the following day, also at Newcomer; at 1:00pm on Tuesday December 7; Pastor Robert Shaw, Grace Baptist Church officiating.
