TILK, William J., 82, of Dayton passed away Saturday, June 24 2006. He is preceded in death by his parents Ignatius and Helen Tilk and first wife Lois Eileen. William is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Lucy Tilk; 4 sons William Lee (Rita) Tilk, of Dallas, TX, Timothy John (Nancy)Tilk, of Dayton, OH, Anthony Joseph (Mark) Tilk, of Merritt Island, FL, and Rev. Jack Owen (Cynthia) Tilk, of Wacissa, FL;3 step daughters Frances Jane (Robert) Stoner, of Chambersburg, PA, Rose-Anne (David) Green, of Douglas, AZ, and Norma Yeazell (Scott Griffin), of Dayton, OH; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy with service in WWII on the USS Dewey, member of Higher Ground United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 619. He was very involved in church ministry as a Lay Speaker, Sunday school teacher, and choir member. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Higher Ground United Methodist Church, 4800 N. Dixie Dr. Interment to follow services at Dayton Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 5-8PM Tuesday June 27, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.
