Stone, William Arthur, Sr. "Bill", 89, of Franklin, passed away August 30, 2017.
He was born April 18, 1928 in Witt Spring, KY to the late Herbert and Mary (Green) Stone. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, and was retired from GM/Delco after 34 years. He was a member of the Pennyroyal Baptist Church and IUE Local 801.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ruth (Ruble) Stone, and daughter, Linda (Stone) Stephens. He is survived by his son, William "Art" Stone; grandsons, Jason Stone, Derek Stephens; granddaughters, Kara Stephens, Deborah (Stone) Barnett and husband, Vincent; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 10:30am on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., where funeral service will follow at 10:30am. Burial at Woodhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties in Bill's memory.
