STEVENS, William "Bill" C.
age 91 of Englewood, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at his home. Bill was born August 21, 1914, the son of William and Lenora Stevens. He served our country in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. Bill retired from the Dayton Police Department as a Lieutenant after 27 years of service. He also retired from Montgomery County Courts after serving as Bailiff after 15 years of service. Bill was a member of the Brookville Masonic Lodge. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Juanita Stevens; daughters, Karilyn Reed, Linda (Doug) Probst; step-daughters, Connie (Charles) Waymire, Cindy (Don) Fry, and Caryl Lunsford; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; niece, Joyce (Khurshid) Ahmad; and dog, Queenie III. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 41 years, June Stevens; and sister, Dorothy Dillon. Family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday with interment following in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
