William Starnes

William R. Starnes, age 60 of Dayton, went to Heaven with his brother-in-law, Don on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born October 13, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late William and Charlotte Starnes.

Dick is survived by his wife of 28 years,Trish; sisters, Linda (Bob) and Lydia; brother, Tom (Janie); beloved canine companion, "Riley", as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was longtime member of the Moose Lodge #73 and the Eagles #321. Dick also owned his own bowling pro shop at Woodman Lanes before venturing into his true passion which was the music industry.

A gathering will be held on July 22, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek with a memorial service following at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Per Dick's wishes, he will be cremated and his remains will be scattered at a later date.
