William Riggs, Sr.
RIGGS, William Harry, Sr., 77, of Fairborn passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Patriot Ridge Community.
He was very involved with the Fairborn Little League and many sports in the Fairborn area, as a referee and umpire.
He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Lillie M. Riggs; children: William H Riggs, Jr., Larry Grant Riggs (Patty), Gary Dean Riggs (Son), and David Neal Riggs (Maureen); grandchildren: Vikki (David), Cassandra, Emily (Nathanael), Grant (Lydia), Kimberly (Steve), John, Joshua (Amber), Matthew (Carrie), Melissa (Mike), and Tony (Nicole); 14 great grandchildren; sister Marilyn Olgebee (Roger); brother Jim Riggs (Joyce); several nieces, nephews, including Kenny and Julie Brown; and many other family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00PM Monday, May 9, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow services at Byron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Diabetes or American Heart Associations.
