William Richardson Sr.

RICHARDSON Sr. William C. (Doodle) 81, met his Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 21, 2009. He was born May 12, 1927 in Middletown, OH. He served his country with the U.S. Navy and was a WWII veteran, a member of First Assembly of God in Xenia, and Word of God Church in Xenia. He is survived by his children, Sherry (Ron) Taylor of Xenia, Robert (Patti) Richardson of Dayton, and David (Darlene) Richardson of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, Charlie, Jimmy, and Mike Richardson, Michele Friend, Jeri Thacker, Ron, Joel, and Jeremy Taylor, Rachel Ramsayer, Gabe Richardson, Becky Griffeth, Mike and Tim Richardson, 24 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Jean (Bob) Sweet, Barbara (Bill) Campbell and Joyce (Ray) Townsend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty A. Richardson; parents, Charles and Pearl (Stamper) Richardson; son, William C. Richardson Jr., and brother, Charles Richardson. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 4-6 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH. There will be a brief service at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton, OH with Rev. Jonathan Pointer officiating. The burial will follow the services.
