William Raines

William E. Raines, age 84 of Dayton, passed away November 24, 2011. He was born May 25, 1927 in Max Meadows, VA to the late Robert and Bessie Raines. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Delpha Raines; and step-daughter, Carolyn DeHart.

Bill is survived by his step-children: Bob (Melanie) Sparks, Don (Terri) Sparks, Pat (George) Grigson and Tim (Crystal) Sparks; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Walt Raines; sister, Ann (Marvin) Wiggington; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
