Lt. Col. William R. "Bill" Harper, age 84, of Centerville, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
Bill was born on October 8, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Arthur & Mary Harper.
He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 22 years of service, and then continued to work as a civilian in the U. S. Air Force for 26 years. He graduated from Butler University, where he received his master's degree.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Zula M. Harper; daughter, Karen Lee; son, Ken W. Harper & his wife Renee; grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie and Braden; and many other relatives and friends. A private graveside service will be held for the family and friends.
