BRANIGAN, Sr., William P., age 85, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lois K. (Hoke) Branigan and daughter, Molly Ann Benson. He is survived by his children, William P. (Linda) Branigan, Jr., Kathy (Jack) Wagoner, Daniel Branigan, Colleen (Phil) Wiedemann, Erin (Bob) Detrick, and Sean (Lisa) Branigan; grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, Robert, Ryan, Leah, Monica, Luke, Nate, Emily, Amber, Sarah, Scott, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Brandon, Brooke, Cooper, Rylie, Josie, Aletheia, Roman, Elijah, Noah, Grace, Monte, and Isaac, and loyal and loving friend, Sue Caulfield. William served in the United States Army Infantry in France during WWII, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, 6 S. 3rd St., Miamisburg. Family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A private burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
