William Ostrander

William John "Bill" Ostrander, age 59 of Centerville, passed away March 20, 2015. He was born September 17, 1955 to the late William and Frances Ostrander. He lived in New Jersey, Iowa, Texas and Ohio and touched many lives in each of these locations.

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Ostrander; step-sons: Forest and Michael Russman; sisters: Kirsten (Kevin) Leedy, Marian (Jerry) Krogmeier, Frances (Nels) Madsen and Karen (Nick Nickelson) Ostrander; 6 nieces and 2 nephews.

Bill's professional life was focused on assisting others plan for their own future and that of their families. Bill gave back to others through his church ministries and his passionate commitment to a special community of friends.

Bill's enduring Faith helped him meet the end of his earthly life with assurance and readiness to meet his Savior. His courage in the face of the many challenges he had to deal with was very inspiring to all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-5:30 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. immediately followed by a memorial service at 5:30 pm. Contributions may be made in Bill's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
