William "Ed" Morris
Age 91, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Iva Lee Morris, in 2006; and by ten brothers & sisters.
Ed is survived by two children, Vicki Logue and Roger & his wife, Andrea Morris; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; one sister, Maudie Day; one brother, Thomas N. & his wife, Dorothy Morris; and by his beloved cat, Rambo.
Ed was a long-time member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, retired from General Motors with over 30 years of service; a decorated veteran of the U. S. Army having served during WW II; a member of Millennium Lodge # 779; Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; York Lodge; and the Antioch Shrine.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
