McKee, William F. "Bill", 91, of Oakwood, passed away August 22, 2017.
He was born June 20, 1926 in Grange City, KY to the late Perry and Leona (Jones) McKee. He was a proud Navy Veteran of WWII and in November 2015, he and his son, Scott were participants on the Honor Flight. After his retirement from Frigidaire/Delco Air in April 1976 after more than 30 years of service, he moved to Morehead, KY with his wife, Edna and resided there for 37 years. Bill enjoyed gardening and grew the best tomatoes around.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, twin sister, Anna Mae, brother, Pete, daughter, Glenna, and granddaughter, Andrea. Bill is survived by son, Perry Scott McKee and wife, Carol; daughter, Betty Crowder and husband, David; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; former wife and dear friend, Evelyn, and a host of friends. He lived in Brookdale Oakwood Assisted Living for the last 4 years where he remained active and made many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., where funeral service will follow at 7:00pm. Graveside service and burial 3:00pm Friday, August 25, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery, Hillsboro, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Honor Flight in Bill's memory.
