Marks, William M. "Bill", age 77, of Miami Twp, passed away at 4:40 A.M. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital with Geneva, his wife of 50 years, by his side. He is survived by his son: Keith R. Vaughn of Tucson, AZ; three loving granddaughters: Kimberly (Dr. Brian) Springer of Miamisburg, OH, Alicia Vaughn of Tucson, AZ, Monica Vaughn of Tucson, AZ; two great grandchildren: Ashleigh and Aaron Ishikawa of Tucson, AZ; brother: Charles (Marsha) Marks of Riverhead, NY; brother-in-law: Frank Little of West Carrollton, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lee & Georgia Marks; brothers: Robert and JC Marks.
Bill was a United States Air Force Veteran proudly serving as Staff Sgt. during the Korean War. Bill retired from General Motors after 30 years, and was an active member of North Dayton Anglers and Conservation Club for over 40 years with his close friends Bob Kerg and Ken Knopp.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 19, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio. Interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 P.M. Geneva would like to give special thanks to the following people who helped during this time: Wanda Sexton, Sheri & Bob Wiedner, Linda Brown, Sandy & Ed Jenkins, Gail & Kith Kellogg and John Estridge. Special thanks to the physicians and nursing staffs of the Ortho & Pulmonary units at Miami Valley Hospital.
