William "Willie" Karl, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away July 2,2024, in Dayton, OH. Born on November 20, 1923, in Troy, OH, he was the beloved son of Henry and Anna Karl.
Willie led a remarkable life filled with dedication and love for his family. He served his country as a World War II United States Navy Veteran before embarking on a successful career as a Tool & Die Maker at General Motors. Willie's commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of his life.
Beyond professional accomplishments, Willie found joy in simple pleasures - he loved to golf and cherished the time spent pursuing this passion. His positive outlook on life was infectious, as he always had something uplifting to say no matter the circumstances.
One of Willie's proudest achievements was being a resident of Huber Heights for 64 years. His contributions to the community and the lives he touched will always be remembered fondly.
Willie is survived by his daughter Janet (Robert) Everette; grandson, David (Heidi) Peeples; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Peeples, Grace Ranard, Jackson Ranard, and Dylan Williams. He is also survived by his sister, Jo Ann Bitcas and a host of nieces and nephews including Jane Holderman, Joyce Howard, Susan Walker, Mike Strong, and Gary Drake.
Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Smith Karl; his parents, Henry and Anna Karl; his sister, Georgene Strong; brother, Robert "Bobby" Karl; nephew, Mark Strong and nieces, Linda McGee and Peggy Bitcas.
Services to celebrate Willie's life will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024. Visitation from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel located at 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.Following the services,
Willie will be lid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, OH.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
William "Willie" Karl leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly cherished by all who had the privilege of being part of his life.
