William Johnson

JOHNSON, William Leslie, age 86, of Salt Springs, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008. He was born October 6, 1921 in Huntington, WV. He was an active member of the Ocala Grace Brethren Church. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy and a member of the VFW at Salt Springs and Gideon International. His hobbies included fishing and nature. He retired as a foreman for Frigidaire Co. after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Etta of 63 years of Salt Springs; his daughter, Bonnie Preston and her husband John, of Shingle Springs, CA; his brothers, Harold of Dayton, OH, and Edward of Springfield, OH. Mr. Johnson has 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, David; parents, Clarence and Susan; sisters, Anna, Thelma, and Harriet; and brother, Edwin. Services will be held 9AM Friday, June 20, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
