RUDD, William J. "Jack", age 79, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009. He was born May 17, 1930 in Salyersville, Kentucky. Jack was a Korean Conflict veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Delco Products in 1982 after 30 years. He was member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Mason of Ohio, Solar Lodge #730, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis Rudd; children, Pam (Randy) Hawkins, Mark (Penny) Rudd, and Steven Rudd; 8 grandchildren, Brian, Brad, Justin, Megan, Jerrid, Clayton, Stephanie, and Chris; 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Kaitlin, and Audrianna; one brother, Ova (Sue) Rudd. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie (Holbrook) Rudd; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2009 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 10:00 am with Pastor Frank Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
