William K. Hull Jr.

April 24, 1947 — December 22, 2021

William "Bill" Kent Hull Jr., age 74, of Xenia, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 22nd, 2021. He was surrounded by the love of his life Sandy and his devoted family. Bill is survived by his wife of 31 years Sandra (Sandy) Lee (Kirk) Hull; his children, Greg Hull, Chris (Anne) Hull, Bobbi Jo Hull, Kelli Yates Adams, Melissa Yates, Douglas "DJ" Yates; his grandchildren, Kara, Sara, Alivia, Jordan, Bryce, Shelby, Hailee, Kelsi, Jace, Mason, Aubrey and Nyah; his best friend, Pastor John Corcoran, his best friend Rich Jackson; special friend Terry Ison and the girls as well as his canine daughter Izzy.

He is preceded in death by his Father, William K Hull Sr, his loving Mother, Elsie C. (Hull) Terrell, Stepfather, Robert "Bob" C. Terrell, Father-in-Law, Riley J. Kirk, Mother-in-Law, Dorothy L. Kirk, grandson, Lukas Robert Adams, and two special dogs, Isabelle and Chippy.

Bill was a dedicated worker for General Motors before he retired after thirty years. After retiring, he later gained employment with Lowe's in Xenia which he worked for seventeen years, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. However, of the many jobs he had in his life, the one that made him incredibly proud, was being a part of the Xenia Township Fire Department for twenty-five years as a volunteer firefighter.

When Bill wasn't busy working at Lowes, he would enjoy spending time with his wife, Sandy, and fur baby, Izzy. Whether it be taking long road trips sight seeing the countryside or visiting unplanned places. Bill also enjoyed the great outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman alongside his son Chris. He also found pleasure in watching the old western classics on television, such as Gunsmoke. Bill was very crafty with woodworking, and he had a passion for auto racing back in his younger days. He also enjoyed fellowship at Liberty Worship Center with Sandy as they have always been devout followers of Christ.

In 2017, Bill's health started to decline, and he had to fight with all his might through the bad days to earn better days. With his determination and willpower, he defined the true meaning of strength and of a person who truly believed in themselves. The family would like to thank Dr. Hummel at Soin and his entire care team. They would also like to thank the Hospice of Dayton for their care and compassion. The family would also like to extend a sincere thank you for the concerns and prayers over the past four years.

In lieu of flowers, Bill asked that contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greene County at 187 Bellbrook Ave, Xenia, OH, 45385.

There will be a celebration of life for close family and friends on Saturday, January 8th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Greene County fairgrounds in the Assembly Hall.

"The angels gathered near your bed so very close to you; for they knew the pain and suffering that you were going through. I thought about so many things as I held your hand. Oh, how I wish that you were strong and happy again. But your eyes were looking homeward to a place beyond the sky, when Jesus held out his stretched arms, it was time to say goodbye. I struggled with my selfish thoughts for I wanted you to stay, so we could walk and talk again like we did yesterday. But Jesus knew the answer and I know you love him so, so I gave you life's greatest gift...... the gift of letting go"
