William A. Harris

William A. Harris, age 86 of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed into the hands of the Lord Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Soin Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1933 in Winslow, Indiana to the late Albert and Stella Harris.
William grew up in Campbeltown, Indiana and graduated from Winslow High School. He attended GM Institute and graduated from Indiana University. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. William and Su were married in 1960. He began his career as a civilian for the U.S. Air Force. In 1989, he retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio after 34 years.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his son, James E. Harris.
William will be missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Su; children, David (Chloe) Harris, Matthew (Tarronda) Harris and Shannon (Robert) Bondurant; grandchildren, Amber Su, Rachelle Ashley and Conner William. Sister in Law and Brother in law, Diane and Larry Gardner. Nieces and Nephew. Multiple cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the First Christian Church, 6114 Fishburg, Rd., Huber Heights, Ohio. Burial was held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Petersburg, IN on April 9th.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William's memory to the CBN (700 Club).
