William R. "Bill" Hancock, age 83, of Dayton, passed away December 27, 2021. He was born July 20, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Robert and Kathryn Hancock.
Bill is survived by his wife of 13 years, Virginia Hancock; children: Michelle Hancock, Cathy Fortener (Waylon), Kelli Bower (Chris), Jason Hawes (Kathy), Cindy and Robin; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he was a sharpshooter. He worked at Gemini Eye Care for 40 years and earned the name Mr. Wizard. Bill was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship and was instrumental in filming and producing the Dispensational Bible Institute.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 10:30 am.
