HAHN, William D., 94, of Dayton passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007. He is preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Mable Hahn, wife Gladys Hahn, daughter Carol Root, sisters Dorothy and Alice, and grandson Michael Wilson. Bill is survived by his sons Dick and Bill Hahn; daughters Margie Johnson and Patty Rees; and numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy with service in WWII. He was a member of Dayton Baptist Church, Amvets, and American Legion on Brown St. He loved Big Band music and to make people laugh with his numerous jokes he loved to tell. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00PM prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Blind Society.
