William H. Martin
William H. Martin, age 89, of West Carrollton, passed away Monday, July, 20, 2009. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Hayes; son, Michael Martin; and grandson, Trevin Martin. William is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Elizabeth Martin; children, James Martin, Don (Faye) Martin and Dan Martin; grandchildren, Greg, Vicky, Shaun, Allen, Don, Rodney, Shelly, Nikki, Shannon, and Travis; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Benjamin F. Martin Jr.; and many other relatives and friends. William served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, among his various medals is the Purple Heart. The family will receive friends Friday, July 24, 2009 from 1:00-2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
