GREER Wm E. "BILL"
Age 80 passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, August 28, 2004. He worked for many years for the Harris Corp. and was self employed with custom Repair Service. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #110. Preceding him in death are parents, Bonnie E. and Ethel Maples Greer; brother, Howard; son, Jim; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; nephew, Larry; and many others. He is survived by wife, Doris of 54 years; 2 daughters, Kathy (Mark) Menken and Becky Tipton; 2 sons, Jack (Debbie) Greer and Tim Greer; grandchildren, Rob (Heather) Tipton, Tiffany (Chris) Oney, Brendan (Veronica) Greer, Joel Menken, Cody Greer, Shannen Greer, and Cory Greer; special great granddaughters, Daisha Basinger and Kameron Tipton; great grandson, Bryant Greer; sister, Kathleen Horner of Knoxville, TN; brother, Jack Greer of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle-Five Pts. Rd. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family for a memorial fund.
