OATES, William Frederick
age 80 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006 at his home. William was born October 16, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of William and Louise Oates. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. William is survived by his children, Crystal Lynn (Charles) Danishek, Sally Louise (Terry) Gonyer, Lisa Shawn Oates, Jacqueline (Charlie) Rich-Allen, Constance Irene Lewis, and Julia (Matthew) Rich-McCarty; grandchildren, Bill (Jenny) Danishek, Nikki (Jered) Raflik, Scott (Diane) McLaine, Shawn (Amy) McLaine, Stacy (Eric) Robinson; and 10 great grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Evelyn M. Oates and Bertha I. Rich-Oates; and sister, Mary Lou Maidlow. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
