William Frederick Leen., age 91, of Springboro, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.
He was born in Dayton on June 5, 1923 to the late Harry & Minni Leen. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Robert, Harry, James, and Edward; and sister, Betty Brocke.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He then went on to art school and became a commercial artist working for Kroger and multiple Cincinnati advertising agencies. In 1960, Bill opened his own business, Sterleen's Art Materials serving the Greater Cincinnati area.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol Leen; daughters, Barbara (Sean) Leen Maycock and Jennifer (Matt) Leen Berglund; grandsons, Elijah and Ezra Maycock; and granddogs, Bailey Berglund and the late Shiloh Berglund.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11am at the Centerville Seventh-day Adventist Church (456 W. Spring Valley Pike, Centerville, OH 45458). Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
