William Evans

EVANS, William, age 78, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orde and Audrey Evans; brother, Raymond Evans, and daughter, Carol Ann Voehringer. William is survived by wife of 56 years, Betty; children, Patty (Dave) Staley, William W. (Kim) Evans, Robert B. (Jeanne) Evans, Linda (Gary) Whaley, and Larry (Anita) Evans; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends. William served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952. He retired from NCR after 41 years of service and was an active member of the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene for 42 years. William enjoyed working in his garden, sailing, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the VA Hospital for all their help. Funeral services will be 12:00pm Saturday, June 9, 2007 at West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, 550 S. Elm St., West Carrollton. Family will receive friends from 10:00am until the time of service. Pastor Doug Van Nest officiating. Interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
