William Eugene Harrison
Age 65, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007, at the Dayton V. A. Medical Center.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Mary Kathryn (Altermatt) Harrison, in 1993; and by his parents, Herschel R. & Loys E. (Elliott) Harrison.
He is survived by one son, Scott & Marissa Harrison; one daughter, Donna & Chad Kinard; four grandchildren, Alexis, Leia, Cameron & Cory; two sisters, Sharon & Raymond Ellis and Sandra Harrison; his best friend, his dog, Whiz; and by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a graduate of Sinclair Community College and retired as an accounting manager with Standard Register in York, PA.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Kathy Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Bill to Autism Speaks or to the Autism Society of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
