William Edward Montgomery Sr.

William Edward Montgomery Sr., age 66, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. Born September 3, 1941 in Xenia, Ohio, the son of the late William and Mary Montgomery. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers David and James Montgomery, a sister Mary Susan, and daughter Mary J. Myers. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara J. Montgomery; a son William E. (Lisa) Montgomery Jr. of Jamestown; a daughter Debra (Doug) Swaninger of Beavercreek; a brother Bob Montgomery of Indiana; a sister Betty Dietzel of Georgia; four grandchildren Joshua and Rebecca Montgomery, and Emma and Tabitha Swaninger; and one great grandchild Brooklynn Montgomery. William was a retired Union Sheet Metal Worker of Local 24 Dayton, Ohio. A benefit member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Xenia, Ohio. William enjoyed his life with fishing, watching NASCAR, crossword puzzles, and spending time with his grand kids. William is loved dearly by all his family and friends and will be missed. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, 2008 from 10-11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
