Broedling, William E. age 65, of Kettering, passed away April 17, 2015. He was born December 16, 1949 in Dayton, OH, son of the late William E. Broedling Sr. and Edythe Mae Rhoads. William "Bill" is survived by his loving girlfriend Kathleen Zoldak, of three years; his 2 children, Eric T. Broedling and Amanda K. (Garry) Miller; 4 grandchildren, Austin T. Broedling, Ashlynn R. Broedling, Isaiah B. Miller, and Bryce A. Miller; 2 siblings, Tim (Laurie) Broedling and Suzanne Salas; and many other nieces, nephews, and great friends. He graduated from Fairmont West High School in 1969 then went on to join the United States Air Force in 1971, where he became a SSGT. He was honorably discharged in 1976 and remained active duty in the United States Air Force Reserves until 1985. After the military he worked as a Precision Polisher in the Tool and Die industry. Bill was an amazing father to his 2 children, a devoted family man and loving grandfather to his 4 grandchildren, teaching them all he knew about the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, outdoors and was very proud to be an American. He also had the love of being a fantastic cook and a master chef on the grill, feeding anyone and everyone around. He really enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, creating new memories every day. He will be truly missed by all and will be in our hearts forever. We would like to thank all the physicians, nurses, and staff members of Miami Valley Hospital, Kindred Hospital and Trinity Community Nursing Home, for taking extremely good care of our dad throughout his lengthy illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10:00am with a service beginning at 11:00am. A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery,1625 Calvary Ave., Dayton, OH 45409.
