William E."Bill" Mayes

William E. "Bill" Mayes, age 65 of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Aileen (Spencer) Mayes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Elaine Mayes of Dayton; three children, son, Derrick Mayes of Dayton, daughter, Wendy Mills of New Lebanon, and son, Danny Leach of Dayton; one sister, Brenda Fenton of Tipp City; three granddaughters, Jazzmin Mayes, Faith Mills, and Annamarie Mills; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bill proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from Weldcraft Products after 30 years of service. Bill had a passion for old cars, being retired and spending time with his family and friends.
Bill was a loving husband, best friend, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
